By using Knot you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. The solo puzzle runs in your browser with no account, so these terms mostly matter if you sign in to play in a shared room.
Knot is a word grouping puzzle. Daily and unlimited solo play is free and needs no account. Shared rooms let signed-in users play the same puzzle together with chat and marks. The service is provided as-is.
Accounts are handled by Lotl Auth. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You must not share your account or use someone else's.
When you create or join a room you can post chat messages and mark puzzle words with colours and theories. You own that content. By posting it in a room you grant other members of that room permission to see it. Don't post anything illegal, harmful, or that infringes on others' rights.
Room owners can archive or rename rooms. Archiving preserves history but prevents new messages. Owners can transfer ownership before leaving.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may leave a room at any time, and you can delete your account via Lotl Auth.
Knot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including lost chat or mark history.
We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
